Gender: An Undergraduate Dissertation Symposium

Newcastle University’s Gender Research Group invites final-year undergraduates working on gender-related dissertations in any discipline to present short (five-minute) papers on their research. This event will showcase the exciting gender research being done at undergraduate level, and will give students the opportunity to present and receive feedback on their work in an academic and very supportive environment. The event will be an invaluable experience for any student considering postgraduate study.

Papers on gender-related topics, including femininity, masculinity, the body, women’s history and women’s writing, feminist theory, queer theory and sexual politics will be considered.
